The Eleanore

Mount Pleasant, Vancouver, BC

A modern, urban landscape design was created for this condominium project located in Vancouver’s vibrant neighbourhood of Mount Pleasant.

The unique form of the building references the site’s “hillside” typology. Its significant setback pays homage to South Main’s iconic single storey industrial streetscape.

The oblique angle formed by the building with the podium creates lush open amenity decks with views to downtown Vancouver and the North Shore mountains.

A series of undulating “mounds” are a feature of the green roof. The “mounds” are built over voiding to create lightweight landscape features and include pine and maple trees.

The overall landscape design provides an aesthetically pleasing “middle ground” to the mountain and city view beyond.
